Pay a Toll

There are a number of options for paying toll charges in Ireland.

Barrier operated toll plazas

All toll roads in Ireland, with the exception of the M50 in Dublin, use barrier operated toll plazas. Payment options at these plazas include:

  • Manual lanes with an attendant who will take payment by cash
  • Automatic coin machine lanes
  • Electronic toll tag lanes

Electronic toll tags

Electronic tags allow motorists use electronic toll tag lanes, meaning they do not have to stop and pay manually. This saves time and avoids the need to carry cash when travelling on toll roads. Visit the etoll website for further, impartial, information.

M50 toll payment

The M50 is a motorway around Dublin without a plaza. The eFlow Barrier-Free toll system between Junction 6 and Junction 7 records trips by photographing a vehicle's licence plate number. Drivers without an electronic toll tag or video account must pay for their journey before 8pm the following day to avoid late payment penalties. Payment options include:

  • Online at www.eflow.ie
  • Calling 0818 50 10 50 / +353 1 461 0122 to pay by credit card
  • Paying in Payzone branded outlets nationwide
  • Registered drivers can use their electronic toll tag or video account
