TII Service Area policy for the Motorway and Dual Carriageway Network 2023

Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) has recently published the Service Area policy for 2023 for the motorway and dual carriageway network. The 2023 policy replaces the previous Motorway Service policy 2014; and has been developed following a public consultation, undertaken in July and August 2023.

The policy has been updated to reflect the considerable build out of both TII and private service areas along the motorway and dual carriageway networks since 2014; and has also been updated to align with current regulations and transport policy including the revised TEN-T Regulation and electric vehicle charging requirements.
