PLEASE READ CAREFULLY By registering for the Event, you accept and agree to comply with TII’s Event Terms and Conditions ( “T&Cs”) which are in addition to any policies, directions procedures which may be established by the Venue.

1 “TII” means the event organisation with which You enter into this agreement.

2 "You" means You as the holder of this Ticket.

3 "Your" shall be read accordingly.

4 "Event" means the Event as stated on Your Ticket.

5 "Ticket" means any ticket which You use to gain admission to the Event.

6 "Venue" means the venue where the Event is to be held, and includes the management of that place. All attendees will be subject to venue’s procedures, directions/policies.

7 All applicants for Tickets acknowledge and agree that Ticket(s), as well as admission to the Event, shall be granted at TII’s sole discretion.

8 Each Ticket admits entry for the named ticket holder only. Tickets are not transferable. This Ticket is only valid for the date and time as stated on the Ticket.

9 For Accessibility requests, contact archaeology@tii.ie in advance of the Event, to enable sufficient time for TII to facilitate your request.

10 For Dietary Requirements, contact archaeology@tii.ie in advance of the Event, to enable sufficient time for TII to facilitate your request.

11 Intellectual Property: All intellectual property rights in materials provided to You during or for the purposes of the Event (including but not limited to any notes, slides or articles) are the property of TII and/or the relevant Event speakers. Neither the whole nor any part of the Event may be copied, recorded, reproduced, distributed or transmitted to a third party by any means whatsoever without first obtaining TII’s consent in writing. For the avoidance of doubt, You are not permitted to make audio or audio/visual recordings of any part of the Event, except with the express permission of TII. Extracts from the Event, and any materials used in an Event may only be used or quoted with TII’s prior permission (which is at its sole discretion) and provided that TII is fully credited.

12 Cost of transportation and accommodation: (if necessary) is Your own responsibility.

13 Medical Emergency: Should a medical emergency occur at the Event , please bring this to the immediate attention of TII/Venue staff. TII/Venue staff will assist the individual concerned and will contact ambulance services, if appropriate.

14 Capacity: Entry to the Venue may be restricted or temporarily withheld when the Venue reaches capacity as may be directed by Venue.

15 Code of Conduct/Admittance: TII is committed to providing a positive and welcoming experience for all attendees. TII requires all event attendees to abide by an Event Code of Conduct when attending a TII event. By agreeing to these T&Cs, You are also agreeing to conduct yourself safely, professionally and respectfully in line with the Event Code of Conduct. Discrimination, harassment, aggression, or disrespectful behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated during any Event. TII/Venue at their discretion, reserve the right to refuse admission to or expel from the Event any person they determine is behaving in an inappropriate manner and which could either be disruptive to the Event or pose any danger to themselves or any other attendee. Inappropriate behaviours include intimidating, harassing, abusive, disruptive, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning conduct by any attendees of the event and related Event activities. TII/Venue will contact An Garda Síochaná, as appropriate.

16 How to report an Incident: If You have been or are subjected to unacceptable behaviour at the Event or notice that someone else is being subjected to unacceptable behaviour at the Event, or have any other concerns regarding the Event, please notify TII/Venue immediately.

17 Photographs, publicity material, radio television and print media: By attending this Event, You may be filmed, photographed, or otherwise recorded by TII and any third party authorised by TII. To ensure Your privacy, Your image will not be readily identifiable. The images resulting from the photography, videography or recording, and any reproductions or adaptation of same, may be used for promotion, publicity and/or other purposes. All imagery is used in accordance with TII’s Data Protection Notice which is available at www.tii.ie or by emailing dataprotection@tii.ie

18 Data Protection: Eventbrite is used by TII for the purposes of collecting data for this Event. Eventbrite processes data (including any personal data You may submit to Eventbrite) for the purpose of processing admission to this Event. By registering through the Eventbrite platform, You acknowledge that any data submitted (such as your name/email address) may be shared and processed outside of the EEA (European Economic Areas). Eventbrite’s privacy policy describes in further detail how it collects and uses Your personal data during Your use of their website, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and associated data protection legislation. Please submit any personal data which you are happy to have it processed in this way, and in accordance with Eventbrite’s privacy policy applicable to attendees. Alternatively, if you prefer not to use Eventbrite platform for the purposes of obtaining a Ticket, you can contact archaeology@tii.ie directly to apply for a ticket. TII is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information. TII will process any personal data you provide in connection to, and to the extent and for the time necessary for the event. Please refer to our Data Protection Notice at www.tii.ie for further information.

19 Liability: Event attendees shall be required to keep their personal belongings with them at all times. TII accept no liability for damage to, or loss of, personal belongings. TII does not accept any responsibility for any loss (including, without limitation, theft) of any property occasioned at the Venue or for any damage caused by negligence, in which circumstances our liability shall be limited to the amount of our insurance for such losses.TII/Venue shall not be responsible or liable for any loss, damage, cost, or injury that arises from, or in connection with, Your attendance at this Event. TII shall not be responsible or liable for any matter arising out of or resulting from the Event or Your enjoyment of the Event. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit TII’s liability to You for death or personal injury resulting from TII’s negligence or that of our employees, agents or subcontractors nor for any other matter which by law cannot be excluded.You hereby acknowledge and agree that in the absence of any negligence or other breach of duty by TII , entry to the Venue and attendance at the Event is entirely at Your own risk.

20 Graphic content warning: Images of human remains (both skeletal and non-skeletal) may be displayed during the event. Viewer discretion is advised.

21 Governing Law: These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Ireland and subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish Courts.

22 Amendments of these T&Cs: TII reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions from time to time to reflect changes in technology , changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements or our own capabilities.

23 Event Amendments and Disclaimer: TII reserves the right to make changes to the agenda, format, speakers, location and any other aspect of the event without notice and without liability to You. TII may at any time, with or without giving notice, in its absolute discretion and without giving any reason, change, cancel, suspend or postpone the Event , change the Venue or any of the other published particulars or withdraw any invitation to attend, where it becomes necessary to do. TII shall not be liable for the delay or cancellation of an event.

24 Severance: You hereby agree that if any provision or part thereof contained in these T&Cs is declared illegal, unenforceable, or ineffective, such provision or part thereof shall be deemed severable, such that all other provisions contained in these T&Cs shall remain valid and binding.
